Russian market of power tools has been showing strong growth, in average 20% growth every year, till the fall 2008. As the result the industry players were planning their strategies according to the growth trend: the companies have increased the store square, number of employees, volume of their credit, introduced large quantity of top-quality professional tool items, and were actively launching their new trade marks. Some of the wholesale companies have begun to develop their own retail chain. But under the influence of the financial crisis rapid decrease in the construction industry and paying population capacity has occurred. This economic situation has demanded a dynamic response from the industry players including the sales quantitative and structural changes.
