‘Intertool Moscow’ postponed until 2011
Reed Exhibitions (Russia) has decided not to tender applications for the 2010 edition of the international tool trade fair ‘Intertool Moscow’.
MOSCOW (3 December 2009). – Reed Exhibitions (Russia) has chosen to postpone 13th International Exhibition for the Tool Industry, ‘Intertool Moscow’, for one year; the show having originally been scheduled for the beginning of October 2010. ‘Just as the other European industrial base fairs have suffered from the effects of the banking and financial crises on the real economy, we too have felt the full force of the collapse’, explained Gregory Zaraisky, the managing director of the organisers Reed Exhibitions (Russia) and officer responsible for special projects. ‘As the sectors of the economy dependent upon exhibitions are having to place immense constraints on spending, we intend to wait for clear signs of economic recovery before we put our heads together with key players among the exhibitors and the expert commission to plan the next strategic steps for the future of the ‘Intertool Moscow’; now to be held next in 2011’.
Intertool Moscow has already been successfully staged on twelve occasions; most recently in the Crocus Expo centre in September 2009 – an event which attracted 140 exhibitors from Russia, Germany, Spain, Greece, France, Taiwan, China and Korea and mobilised around 3500 trade visitors.
